My Journey into Therapy
My path to becoming a therapist began with my own healing journey. Being a wounded healer, my experiences of trauma and recovery live alongside my clinical work. I know what it’s like to move through darkness and wonder if there’s a way forward.
There have been seasons of my life when I felt disconnected from others, from my body, and from who I truly am.
I often questioned why I felt so deeply and why I didn’t quite fit in. I struggled with perfectionism, believing my worth depended on what I achieved or how well I performed. Living in a world not designed for neurodivergent people like me added another layer of challenge. Beneath it all, a persistent fear echoed that I wasn’t enough.
I’ve experienced grief, loss, trauma, and inner struggles that aren’t always visible. I’ve also faced challenges in relationships.
There were times when connection felt painful and uncertain, when I wondered how to stay true to myself while staying close to others. Maybe you’ve felt something similar.
Even in our darkest times, light persists. Healing is about embracing that light within ourselves and in connection with others. I’ve learned to meet myself with kindness, let go of perfectionism, and simply be. Through this, I have found light again.
Healing Roots Therapy
Healing Roots Therapy grew from the belief that none of us have to carry our struggles alone.
Grounded in a deep passion for walking alongside others in their healing, this is a space where who you are is seen and valued exactly as you are. I’m dedicated to supporting you in reconnecting with yourself, healing in relationships, and embracing your most authentic self. Together, we nurture your inner roots so you can stand strong and flourish, both within yourself and in connection with others.
A Bit More About Me
I’m a therapist, but I’m also human. Outside of the therapy room, I value connection, quiet moments in nature, creativity, and slowing down. You might find me birdwatching, writing poetry, hiking with my pup, lost in a good book, or spending time with the people I love.
My experiences with healing and relationships have deepened my understanding of how difficult it can be to work through emotional challenges and build strong connections. This perspective guides me to offer therapy with empathy and respect for your individual journey.
I hold the following credentials and certifications to provide specialized, evidenced-based therapy.
